New Blog!

October 17, 2016

Hello! My name is Courtney and I'm a portrait and lifestyle photographer from Las Vegas, NV! I have been doing photography for a few years now. I actually started and branched from doing videography. I attended the Art Institute of both Las Vegas, NV and North Hollywood, CA. When I was in my last year in California, I realized my passion leaned more towards taking photos instead of making videos. I had made so many new friends out there and a lot of them were in photography at the time so I learned a lot from them and decided to take it on for myself and learn photography. & so it all began! I moved back to Vegas, got married and bought our first house and really took a hold of my life.

I was always doing photography here and there throughout the years but never had the chance or opportunity to really push my ideas to the next level. I either had multiple jobs are that my job was so time constricting that I never really had any ambition to really put my passion to the works. I just recently in December of 2015 took over my Dad's plumbing business. Working for my dad actually gives me more freedom, I get to make my own schedule, I get off early in the day, can go in later in the day if I wanted to, and I even have weekends off. I have availability to create more opportunity for myself and decided it was time I put my passion to the works.

My free time has been more dedicated into getting more photoshoots lately, promoting my business, advertising mini sessions, making new business cards, building a new website, and now starting a new blog! It has been very rewarding the past few weeks. I have had some amazing clients, some beautiful locations, and the drive to do better! I'm pretty sure I'm the reason why I don't get so much sleep, I've been so busy thinking about what I can do next, what can I do better, what's next?! This blog is going to keep me busy in between my shoots and editing. I want to tell everyone's story, that's why I love doing photography. I focus a lot more on families, all things baby, and couples because I believe in love.

I believe in letting everyone have their own story to tell, that is what art means to me.
